Never too Far Gone

To Him
I’m never too far gone

Though I fall
Time and time again
He gives me His GRACE

Everyday, my sin piles up
And He still offers me
His forgiving hand

Mind you,
The bruises of my mistakes
Are evident on my skin
And they hurt

But God never said
Sin was without consequence

Mistakes hurt us
And those we love

That’s the truth

Yet again, praise the Lord
For His love and grace!

We must let go of our guilt and sorrow
(neither will erase the past),
Feel Him lifting the heavy burden off our shoulders,
And try again and again
To live like Jesus–

Loving no matter what,
Being understanding,
Controlling our tongues,
Showing compassion,
Defending the oppressed,
Hating what’s evil,
Turning the other cheek,
Extending forgiveness when it’s definitely not deserved,
Restoring what was broken,
Uttering words of kindness,
And so much more

Live each day
Confident that God is picking up
All your broken pieces
And making something even more Beautiful

A heart pursuing His
Lights up the world
And chases the darkness away

  1. Thank you for this beautiful reminder, Amanda! Sometimes it is so easy to talk about letting God take out failing but so much harder to do. This poem really made my day!

    Love this –

    Live each day
Confident that God is picking up
    All your broken pieces
And making something even more Beautiful ❤️

    • Laure! I’m so glad it made your day and blessed you! It is HARD. Often I want to hold onto my failings and wallow. But then I’m not letting grace do it’s work. Then I’m rejecting God’s grace which even feels worse than holding onto the guilt of my sin! We need to let it go, like God does. Such joy is found in knowing we are redeemed and forgiven!!☺️
